ABOUT US
NICE TO MEET YOU !
We are Pavle (veterinarian) and Nevena (lawyer), a married couple who, due to their love for animals and nature, decided to leave the city and form a ranch on the banks of the Velika Morava river in Serbia.
Our story began with dogs, when we met at the veterinary clinic – Nevena as the owner of a sick dog, and Pavle as a breeder of Rottweilers for which he obtained health certificates.
Today, the Rottweiler kennel Haus Kaligula is a family business, consisting of the two of us.
Pavlo’s profession ensures constant veterinary supervision of our dogs, and Nevena’s business in accordance with the rules of good business practice, within the framework of current regulations.

IF I HAD MET YOU EARLIER
- the most important part of our story-
Talking about dogs, Pavle introduced himself as a breeder, competitor and trainer, and Nevena as a buyer and owner. During the conversation, we often repeated: "everything would have been better if I had met you earlier". That sentence became the inspiration to approach the breeder-customer relationship in a new way.
What Pavle said as a breeder, competitor and trainer:
I didn't get the Rottweiler, the Rottweiler got me.
I was born in a family that already had a Rottweiler in 1976. I grew up with them and became a breeder. The kennel was officially established in 1991. I performed the strictest selection through planned matings exclusively in Germany.
In 1986, I became interested in working canine. That's when I joined a group of enthusiasts who formed a Sporting Dog Club led by a police dog trainer. I continued to improve in Germany, where seminars specialized in working with Rottweilers were organized. I invested a lot of time and resources in this type of education, and thus mastered professional training methods from eminent German experts.
An important part of such education is the handling of professional equipment for dog training, which implies its acquisition, so I acquired the complete original equipment also in Germany (specify the equipment).
Last, but not least, is the place where the dogs are trained. That's why we decided to create a ranch in nature, the center of which is occupied by a Rottweiler kennel and a private training ground for them.
As an avid competitor, I know that dog shows are life-changing. I compete with my dogs, with whom I have traveled all over Europe. The combination of the strictest selection of dogs and quality ring training brought me a very successful participation in the very top of the world canine sport. My numerous clients on all continents compete with the same success.
What Nevena said as the owner:
I was the owner of three dogs, one after the other, and this is where the problems arose.
- The first dog was a 2-month-old puppy, large luxury breed. He was ideal - exhibitions, walks, trips (he lived for 7 years).
- After that, I bought the same breed, same age. The puppy showed intolerance towards animals, which developed into aggression. That is why dog shows, traveling with a dog and walking through urban areas of the city became a thing of the past, and obligations arose - the search for boarding houses for dogs and professional dog trainers (he lived for 10 years).
- Previous experience with an aggressive dog, decided me to change the breed and age - a small dog, 8 months old. The breeder delivered a medically and hygienically neglected dog to my address, without any socialization. Frightened by the sounds in the environment, he refused to go for walks, he was difficult and slow to accept me, groomers and veterinarians had difficulties working with him.
- In the meantime, I have become independent, I live alone in the house for the first time, I want to feel safe and I believe that a guard dog can provide that, but I fear how he will accept my existing pet and the environment.
- We found a solution: not only a proven breeder, but also a proven dog -
- An approach that offers the buyer the choice of a dog without relying on the lucky circumstances of the case and previous experience, and provides the breeder with a guaranteed reputation and trust of the client.
WHAT WE DO
We understand what you want the dog to do. We focus on reinforcing the desired behavior and always ask the question: "What do you want your future Rottweiler to do". Our ultimate goal is personalized ownership, which we provide with the option of choosing a puppy in the Hausa Kaligula kennel and which is already being introduced to hierarchical training with us. Hierarchy in training means applying a set of effective work exercises with the ultimate goal of forming elite work behavior. Each set is a whole for itself, and the puppy starts learning from the 15th day of life, and it is up to you to choose the stage in which the dog has reached the desired behavior.
IT IS YOUR TURN
